Payments:

Payment of fines and fees are expected for borrower accounts to remain in good standing at the UNCG Libraries. However, whenever a bill is received for an item not in your possession or that you think has been returned, please do not make payment and contact the lending library immediately.

UNCG Students:

  • Fines and fees are transferred to the borrower’s University bill Mondays – Fridays.
  • Fines and fees should be paid to the Cashier and Student Accounts Office by the methods listed on their Payment and Cost Information webpage. Payments are not accepted in the Libraries.
  • Fees for billed items can be reduced by returning or replacing them for up to 6 months after the due date. When billed items are returned or replaced, credits are issued to the borrower’s University bill for the billed amount minus the associated overdue fines and processing fees. If items are replaced, no refunds are given.
  • Unpaid fines and fees may result in blocks on registration, grades, graduation, and transcripts.
  • For items borrowed directly from any of the libraries with which the UNCG Libraries have a cooperative borrowing agreement, the borrower is responsible for paying the lending library directly for any fines, fees, or lost charges incurred. If they are not paid within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the lending library and that library bills us, we will in turn bill the borrower the amount owed the lending library plus a $15 service fee.
