Living in the Sweet Spot: Preparing for Performance in Sport and Life
by Amy Baltzell
This book was written by a colleague and friend, and its content reflects all things that drew me into and keep me excited about the field of Sport Psychology. Its members are an interdisciplinary group that span across the globe, and they have made contributions to our knowledge that appeal to elite and professional performers but also the local youth and families involved in sport and performance settings. I am constantly amazed by what people can accomplish. I hope to continue learning from my students, colleagues, clients, and friends, and I am honored to meet interesting people and assist some of them in their pursuit of optimal health and performance excellence. This book offers readers an overview of Sport and Performance Psychology that is evidence-based and interesting while remaining accessible and practical. I will be including this book within my own classes this next year, and I am thrilled it will be added to the library’s collection to celebrate my promotion and tenure at UNCG.
