Dr. Karen Weyler
Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen
I first read Jane Austen's works when I was in high school. After I'd complained about the reading selections for a high school English class, my grandmother, who was an avid reader, challenged me to develop my own reading list. At her suggestion, I read all of Austen's novels and fell in love with *Pride and Prejudice* in particular. I had always been an avid reader, but I date my love of the novel as a genre and a field of study to that book.
