This book is the first in The Kingkiller Chronicles trilogy about the legendary figure, Kvothe. Much of this book details Kvothe's time at the University where his thirst for knowledge drives him to study many subjects including chemistry. I chose this book because it is a wonderful story and I enjoyed the connection between science and the supernatural.
