This is a well written textbook for the rapidly growing field of mass spectrometry. I chose this book because both the beginners and the advanced practitioners of mass spectrometry will find it useful; it is also the text book that I use for my Advanced Analytical Chemistry class. I take this opportunity to get the up-to-date third edition for my students and any reader who likes mass spectrometry.
